VietJet

VietJet is an airline known for offering affordable ticket prices and it’s often considered a low-cost carrier. They mostly fly within Vietnam but they also have flights to other countries in Asia like Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and South Korea.

VietJet has built its reputation as a budget airline

Starting in January 2022, Vietjet wanted to make itself more noticeable online and expand its reach to a global audience. They hired an SEO specialist to create articles that would show up well in online searches. Thaiger suggested making content and visuals featuring their cabin crews, suitable for their website and social media. They also recommended producing a video showcasing a unique travel destination alongside Vietjet, specifically highlighting “Thailand’s Hidden Weekend Markets in Surat Thani” to attract more travelers.

The goal was to overcome language and cultural differences when reaching out to international audiences and improve Vietjet’s marketing efforts. Here are the results of their efforts in simple terms:

1. SEO Optimized Article: A website article with 2.7K views that ranked well on search engines, reaching 134K people on social media, and engaging 1K people.
2. Press Release Article: Another website article with 3K views, reaching 100K people on social media.
3. “This is Thailand” YouTube Video: The video got 17K views, 225 likes, and 58 comments.
4. Ads on the “Good Morning Thailand” Show: These ads received a total of 327K views, 16K likes, and 4.4K comments.

All of these efforts aimed to boost Vietjet’s online presence and attract more travelers to their airline.

Thaiger Approach

For this project we focused on three main areas:

Vietjet wanted to boost awareness of their airline and improve their online visibility. They needed an SEO-optimized article to rank well on Google. Thaiger proposed a comprehensive package that included a 15-second TV commercial on their popular show “Good Morning Thailand,” which would reach a wide local and international audience. They also suggested creating a travel-themed video that not only showcased Vietjet’s services but also inspired viewers to travel. This strategy aimed to connect with viewers on a personal level and increase Vietjet’s brand recognition and online presence. Additionally, Thaiger ensured the PR article was published on various platforms and boosted to reach a larger audience.

Planning

Our whole Account Management team alongside our Creative team work together to brainstorm solutions and put them into a plan, ready for the client to confirm.

Implementation

Once all is confirmed and the client is happy, we begin the implementation. An important factor is iteration and continuous improvement of everything we do for our clients. Optimisation is key!

This project was a significant undertaking for us, and we deeply appreciate VietJet’s confidence in our capabilities. While the project was initially planned for an 8-month duration, it extended due to the continuous positive results.

Clients Feedback

While our on-page technical SEO has consistently been a strong suit, we recognized the need for fresh, up-to-date content and a more active social media presence. Thaiger stepped in and seamlessly managed this aspect. They devised a strategic plan to not only expand our social media channels but also transform them into effective lead generation sources.
